About Our Program

Every child grows differently. Our Early Intervention Pre-Kindergarten (EI-PreK) provides specialized support for "little learners who need a little more" with communication, following directions, or social-emotional development. Available at Calmar Elementary, École Bellevue, École Corinthia Park, Linsford Park, Robina Baker, and Thorsby Elementary, our program helps children build the confidence and skills needed to thrive. Children may qualify as early as two years and eight months old (by August 31) if they meet eligibility criteria. Let us partner with you to give your child a strong start. Visit www.blackgold.ca/pre-kindergarten to learn about our Alberta Education funded programming today; please return on August 24 to begin our free intake and screening process as we partner with your family for a strong start to school.

Our Early Intervention Pre-Kindergarten program provides:

  • Learning guided by a certificated teacher.
  • Small class size.
  • Individualized program planning with parents to address each child’s needs.
  • Specialized, intensive service in areas of special needs.
  • Integrated and individual speech and language services.
  • Access to Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, and Psychological Services.
