May 15, 2025 Principal Message
Admin Corner
Good afternoon, Robina Families,
This afternoon I am sitting with Ms. Kendall and Mr. Aiden, who are my helper principals today! They earned this right through their hard work with the Spell-a-thon! They are learning the ropes and have been a great help around the school. They are even learning how I do this part of my job, which is all about communicating to our families!
Today was a good-smelling day in the school. Around 10:00 this morning, we had a group of volunteer parents come in and help us prepare and deliver a special grilled cheese lunch to every student in the school. We can do this because of our PowerFull Kids Nutrition Grant. We are grateful to bring nutritious opportunities to our students! Thank you to our volunteers - we appreciate you!
Stay tuned for a very special update regarding a unique and important art piece that will soon be hanging in our hallways. The weeks ahead will be busy with field trips, please ensure you log into PowerSchool to sign your permission form for Swimming Lessons. There are more permission forms to come for various trips happening in the last month of school. It’s important that these forms are signed so your kiddos can participate in these events.
Have a great weekend and remember there is no school tomorrow as we have a PD day and Monday is a holiday!
Mr. Coffin

Raptor Spirit Wear Call-Out!
Do you have gently used Raptor tees, hoodies, or other spirit wear kicking around? Maybe your child has moved on to Riverview or even John Maland and you're ready to part with their Robina Baker gear?
We’d love to give those items a second chance!
Please consider donating any gently used Raptor Spirit Wear to the school. In the fall, at our Welcome Back BBQ, the Parent Council will host a Pre-Loved Spirit Wear Sale—with items available for just a loonie or two!
It's a great opportunity for new families or students who haven’t had the chance to grab some gear to show their Raptor pride!
Drop donations off at the school office anytime. Thanks for helping us spread the spirit!

Library Corner
New Books - We are still enjoying new books on a regular basis thanks to the Scholastic Book Fair. Students are allowed the following number of books:
Grades PreK, K, 1 - 1 book
Grades 2, 3 - 2 books
Grade 4 - 3 books
Please return the books a week later when it is your student’s library day. Books can be renewed! Just have your child ask me to do that.
Overdue notices - Some of you are getting reminders when a book is more than a week overdue and more than 3 weeks overdue. After a month, the book will be marked as lost. (see below)
Lost Books - I have marked some of the students’ books as lost and the amount will be added to your PowerSchool account. Please be assured that if the book is found, the amount will be deleted. These are books that have been out for more than a month. For all of these, I have done a thorough search of the library for the book. Please encourage your child to check their classroom shelves as well.
Please email me, not your teacher, if you have any questions or concerns about library items. [email protected]
Amazon Wishlist. We have a wishlist for the library! If you would like to buy one of these books for the library, please don’t forget to have Amazon send us a gift note with your name on it. I like to acknowledge the person who purchased the book. Thanks!
