2026-2027 School Year
Welcome to the 2026-2027 School Year
Welcome Back
Welcome to Robina Baker Elementary School! Whether you are a returning or new family, we are so glad you are here.
We hope you had a wonderful summer connecting with loved ones and enjoying the outdoors. Our teachers and support staff are finishing up their summer break and are excited to return for staff workdays on Tuesday and Wednesday next week!
Robina Baker is a unique school within the Black Gold School Division as the only EIPK–Grade 4 school. We have an extremely dedicated team that absolutely loves coming to work every day to support our wonderful students, families, and community.
For those who don't know me yet, my name is Mr. Coffin! Each Friday afternoon, you can expect an update from me in the Principal Corner (just like this) to give you a glimpse into our classroom learning and school activities. Four pillars guide my leadership across our school:
- Taking Care of You: Prioritizing well-being so staff, students, and families can bring their best selves to school.
- Leaning into Learning: Keeping student growth at the forefront of every decision we make.
- Communication is Key: Keeping you informed about school news and your child's progress—never hesitate to reach out!
- Trust: Partnering with you, knowing that raising great kids takes a village.
We look forward to seeing you at our Welcome Back BBQ on Tuesday at 4:00 PM, where you can tour the school and meet teachers before our official first day on Thursday, August 27th! Here’s to a fantastic 2026–2027 school year!
Mr. Coffin & Mrs. Kirton
Homeroom Assignments
Please join us in welcoming Mrs. DeFrancesco who will be teaching Grade 2C and Mrs. Gerhardt who will be teaching Grade 1C. We are excited to have you a part of the Robina Baker family!
We know that many parents and students are curious to hear about who their homeroom teacher will be. On Monday, August 24th, you will receive confirmation of your child’s homeroom classroom along with a letter from the teacher introducing themselves. Teacher classrooms are listed here.
Welcome Back BBQ
We’re excited to welcome everyone back with our annual BBQ on August 25, starting at 4:00 PM!
Follow your nose to the front doors for a hot dog, then head inside to tour the school and meet your child’s teacher in their classroom.
Bring your school supplies, enjoy a bite to eat, and reconnect with fellow Raptors as we kick off another great school year together!
