Admin Corner
Good Afternoon, Everyone,
We hope that you’ve had a great couple of weeks! Since we last left you, there have been a lot of great winter activities happening in the building!
- Last Wednesday, our whole school community participated in Winter Walk Day! The Town of Devon donated Hot Chocolate, and our wonderful and engaged School Council was here preparing it. It was a great community event!
- This week, most of our classes have engaged one way or another in some great learning about the Winter Olympics. Lots of our Grade 3 and 4 classes have done some research about all the different types of sports!
- Floor Hockey Intramurals kicked off this week with the Devon Xtreme out volunteering their time running stations for our grades during lunch.
- When students were able to get to the gym, they continued to focus on their skipping skills! As a reminder, we are raising money for the Heart and Stroke Foundation. We appreciate those who have made a donation already. If you are able to do so, please consider a small donation!
- Students finished off the week with SKATING and have done an amazing job! They were engaged and the skills have really improved since last time!! Good job, students. THANK YOU to all our parents who came to help on the ice or tying skates. We do appreciate you!
Here are a couple of community shout-outs and did you knows:
- Did you know that Devon is hosting the U15C Hockey Provincials? They will take place from Thursday, March 19 to March 22 right here in Devon! It will be an exciting time for young athletes, and I’m sure may feature some Robina Baker alumni!
- Just this week, Devon Minor Hockey Association donated just over $500 dollars towards our school. We have placed this in our hardship fund. Our hardship fund ensures that every student has opportunities to attend field trips! THANK YOU for the donation!
- Did you know that Robina Baker, for the second year in a row, was the recipient of the PC Power Full Kids Nutrition Grant? As part of the grant, we are able to provide nutritious snacks for students throughout the year. We also like to provide opportunities for students to participate in planning and preparations! Next Wednesday, on our second Wellness Afternoon of the school year, students will have an opportunity to make their very own chicken wrap for lunch! Wrap Wednesday is back! This was a successful event last year and we look forward to it!
As we head into the Family Day Long weekend, we wish you a safe and happy time.
Warmly,
Mr. Coffin & Mrs. Kirton
Jump Rope for Heart
Throughout February, our students are jumping into heart health with our Jump Rope for Heart campaign! Each class is taking part in fun activities that promote healthy hearts, strong minds, and active lifestyles. Together, we’re learning about healthy habits, giving back, and helping support life-saving heart and stroke research. Thank you for supporting our Robina Baker community!

- Happy Reading!
Club Moo Program
A big thank you to all the parents who have ordered milk tickets for our Club Moo program! 🥛
Leadership students will be helping by fulfilling and delivering milk orders to each class (Kindergarten to Grade 4) at lunchtime every day.
Parents can purchase milk tickets through PowerSchool: 20 tickets (white or chocolate) for $20.
We hope to provide a 3-day turnaround. Thank you for your patience as we develop our Club Moo Program
How to use your tickets:
- Send them all at once – Cut the tickets apart and return them in a baggie or envelope. They will be kept in your child’s reading bag, and your child can decide when to use them.
- Send them as needed – Place one ticket in your child’s reading bag on the days you’d like them to have milk.
