Hello Robina Families,

One of the highlights this week was the installation of a stunning mural created by Aimee Movold, a talented parent in our school community and a member of the Indigenous Relations Advisory Committee for the Town of Devon. The mural beautifully showcases The Seven Sacred Teachings against a backdrop representing Devon's forest and river. Every student and staff member contributed personalized artwork on dowels, each filled with heartfelt intentions, which are incorporated into the mural. Our sincere thank you to Aimee for this stunning addition to our school.

A big congratulations to our Grade 4 students who convocated from USchool, a fantastic program offered through the University of Alberta! Students had the exciting opportunity to return to the U of A campus to take part in this special event. I'm also thrilled to share that our application for next year’s Grade 4 students to attend USchool has been accepted! This is an incredible opportunity we’re so excited to continue offering!

Swimming lessons have certainly made a splash! Although two days were cancelled due to inclement weather, our students did a great job being flexible and adjusting the group plan. You can expect a credit to appear on your child’s PowerSchool account, which can be used toward future fees in the upcoming school year. We appreciate your patience as we work through the processing of these credits.

Be sure to take a look at our Upcoming Events and Important Dates! Next week is full of exciting learning experiences, including The Joe Show on Monday, June 16th, and a special Hoop Dance performance on Wednesday, June 18th.

Our staff felt truly appreciated this week! A big thank you to the Board of Trustees for the delicious staff lunch on Tuesday and to our amazing Parent Council for Friday’s appreciation breakfast. We are so fortunate to be part of such a supportive community!

Wishing a very happy upcoming Father’s Day to all the incredible dads and father figures in our community! It’s been heartwarming to see our students celebrating the meaningful and supportive people who make a difference in their lives.

Wishing you all a wonderful weekend!

Mrs. Kirton

Super Hero Day

On Monday, June 16, we are inviting everyone to come to school dressed as a superhero. We are excited to bring in The Joe Show's Laser Chaser Game for all of our Kindergarten to Grade 4 students. (Our EIPK students are going to have their own special event.) Laser Chaser uses state-of-the-art touchscreen gloves that allow anyone to strap on the unit and battle like a superhero anywhere.

Thanks to the successful Spell-a-Thon fundraiser, there is no cost to families for this special event!

Please check PowerSchool for full details and consent forms!

Coming This Fall: A New App for Parents!

We’re excited to introduce a new app for families to use starting in the 2025–26 school year! With the SafeArrival App, you’ll be able to report absences, view messages sent through SchoolMessenger, and manage your communication preferences—all in one convenient place.

For parents who have been using Robina Baker’s Absence Form, this app will replace that process. You’ll now be entering attendance directly into PowerSchool.

While the app will officially launch in the fall, you can download it now and connect your account to your PowerSchool account to be ready ahead of time!
