March 13, 2026 Principal Message
Admin Corner
Good Afternoon,
We had a wonderful weekend of SPORT last weekend and leading into this weekend. Last weekend, we hosted 12 teams from across Black Gold School Division for our annual 3/4 Girls’ Floor Hockey Tournament. All athletes were great sports and tried super hard! Congratulations to our home team, the RAPTORS, for taking the gold in the tournament. The boys are off to Leduc to compete in their tournament this weekend!
There was also a great deal of LEARNING that happened this week! Not only in the classroom, but also for our teachers out of the classroom. This week, our Numeracy Instructional Coach joined each Grade K-4 teacher to engage in collaboration focused on supporting small group learning during Math; something that our teaching staff has committed to in their classrooms. Small group learning allows students to access a variety of activities in their classrooms, along with meaningful time with their teachers within small groups. We appreciate our teachers digging into this learning. We have a group of dedicated teachers who work tirelessly to ensure they are providing the best instruction to our students!
Finally, we’d like to extend another thank you to Devon Minor Hockey. They have previously donated to our Hardship fund and we have received another donation of $500.52. Thank you for your support!
We look forward to seeing our families next week at Student-Led Interviews!
Have a great weekend!
Warmly,
Mr. Coffin & Mrs. Kirton
Come, Listen & Connect!
Our students have been hard at work, and they can’t wait to show you what they’ve been up to! Please join us for our Student-Led Conferences on Thursday, March 19.
This isn’t your typical sit-down meeting; it’s a fun, hands-on opportunity for your child to take the lead. They will walk you through their classroom, showcase their favorite projects, and give you a real look at their daily learning journey.

A Heartfelt Thank You to Devon Minor Hockey
We are incredibly grateful to share that Devon Minor Hockey has generously donated $500.52 to our school community!
This donation has been directed straight into our Hardship Fund, a vital resource designed to ensure that every student can participate fully in school life. These funds are specifically used to cover field trip costs for families navigating temporary or significant financial challenges.
Thank you, Devon Minor Hockey, for helping us keep our school experiences inclusive for everyone! Together, we’re building a stronger community for our kids.

Club Moo Program
A big thank you to all the parents who have ordered milk tickets for our Club Moo program! 🥛
Leadership students will be helping by fulfilling and delivering milk orders to each class (Kindergarten to Grade 4) at lunchtime every day.
Parents can purchase milk tickets through PowerSchool: 20 tickets (white or chocolate) for $20.
We hope to provide a 3-day turnaround. Thank you for your patience as we develop our Club Moo Program
How to use your tickets:
- Send them all at once – Cut the tickets apart and return them in a baggie or envelope. They will be kept in your child’s reading bag, and your child can decide when to use them.
- Send them as needed – Place one ticket in your child’s reading bag on the days you’d like them to have milk.
