Good afternoon, Robina Families,

This afternoon, we participated in Tom’s Walk, an annual and very important event in Devon. All of the schools here in Devon joined together to walk for this important cause. The actual event takes place this Sunday here in Devon and we encourage your family to attend. Be sure to check out the website here for more information about Tom’s Walk and it’s importance to this community and beyond.

As we approach the final week of May, I would like to remind everyone to log into PowerSchool and complete any upcoming permission forms. Swimming lessons is a big one as we need to submit payment to the pool ahead of time as well as information about the level that students will participate in.

On a personal note, I wanted to let the community know that I will be away from the school beginning June 2nd as I undergo knee surgery. During my absence, Mrs. Kirton will be our Acting Principal. I hope to be back before the end of the school year, but time will tell if that will be the case! I will sign off at the end of next week, but I wanted to make sure you were aware! Thank you for your understanding!

Have a great weekend!

Mr. Coffin

Second Hand Spirit Wear

Raptor Spirit Wear Call-Out!

Do you have gently used Raptor tees, hoodies, or other spirit wear kicking around? Maybe your child has moved on to Riverview or even John Maland and you're ready to part with their Robina Baker gear?

We’d love to give those items a second chance!

Please consider donating any gently used Raptor Spirit Wear to the school. In the fall, at our Welcome Back BBQ, the Parent Council will host a Pre-Loved Spirit Wear Sale—with items available for just a loonie or two!

It's a great opportunity for new families or students who haven’t had the chance to grab some gear to show their Raptor pride!

Drop donations off at the school office anytime. Thanks for helping us spread the spirit!

Library Corner

LibraryNew Books - We are still enjoying new books on a regular basis thanks to the Scholastic Book Fair. Students are allowed the following number of books:

Grades PreK, K, 1 - 1 book

Grades 2, 3 - 2 books

Grade 4 - 3 books

Please return the books a week later when it is your student’s library day. Books can be renewed!  Just have your child ask me to do that.

Overdue notices - Some of you are getting reminders when a book is more than a week overdue and more than 3 weeks overdue. After a month, the book will be marked as lost. (see below)

Lost Books - I have marked some of the students’ books as lost and the amount will be added to your PowerSchool account.  Please be assured that if the book is found, the amount will be deleted.  These are books that have been out for more than a month. For all of these, I have done a thorough search of the library for the book. Please encourage your child to check their classroom shelves as well.

Please email me, not your teacher, if you have any questions or concerns about library items.  [email protected]

Amazon Wishlist. We have a wishlist for the library!  If you would like to buy one of these books for the library, please don’t forget to have Amazon send us a gift note with your name on it.  I like to acknowledge the person who purchased the book.  Thanks!
