Dear Robina Families,

We hope you’ve had a great week! It was a wonderful week back at the school. A major highlight this week was Wellness Wednesday. Three times a year, our teaching staff plan cross-grade activities around the school where students are able to learn and apply different wellness practices. There were physical activities, food activities, and activities that just helped students understand the importance of being mindful and positive. Thank you to our staff for organizing this as well as all the students who showed spectacular responsibility as they moved around our school, classroom to classroom. Well done!

We ended our week with a school-wide celebration assembly. In our assembly, we learned about why it is getting dark so soon and the importance of the Winter Solstice in Indigenous cultures. We also heard from Mrs. Rothfos’ class, who performed a sing-along that taught us about the importance of giving, just in time as we head into the giving season.

In the coming weeks, we will have lots of JOY and celebration:

  • Grade 4s are heading to Rabbit Hill next Wednesday, December 3rd
  • Our Book Fair will be happening December 8th - 11th. Check out the Library section for more information.
  • We will be running a Food Bank drive from December 8th - 11th as well to support the Leduc Food Bank. Students who bring in a donation will be entered to win a Comfy Couch ticket. If you are unable to donate, your child can also pick up a colouring sheet to complete to enter the draw.
  • December 10th will fun evening as well. The Book Fair will be open late, but also drop in for Cookie Decorating and Board Games in the gym. This is the evening we aslo have our Parent Teacher Interviews.
  • If you would like to book an interview; you can do that following the instructions below. Please note that many teachers will have booked (or are booking) extended ISP or IPP meetings with you. As such, an additional meeting is not necessary as we are trying to respect everyone’s time. That being said, EVERYONE is still welcome to all the activities in the school!
  • Our School Council will be hosting a special fundraiser evening on December 11th. See information below for more details!

Club Moo

Club Moo Program

A big thank you to all the parents who have ordered milk tickets for our Club Moo program! 🥛

Leadership students will be helping by fulfilling and delivering milk orders to each class (Kindergarten to Grade 4) at lunchtime every day.

Parents can purchase milk tickets through PowerSchool: 20 tickets (white or chocolate) for $20.

We hope to provide a 3-day turnaround. Thank you for your patience as we develop our Club Moo Program

How to use your tickets:

  • Send them all at once – Cut the tickets apart and return them in a baggie or envelope. They will be kept in your child’s reading bag, and your child can decide when to use them.
  • Send them as needed – Place one ticket in your child’s reading bag on the days you’d like them to have milk.
