Good afternoon, Robina Families,

These last couple of days were special days at the school, where we honoured the memory and dedication of Terry Fox. All of our students participated and learned about Terry Fox. Today in particular, our students, along with Riverview Middle School and John Maland High School students and staff, were seen all across Devon for this community event. We were fortunate to have the Lions Club set up again this year in front of our school, providing snacks for all students who passed by. We are grateful for their contributions to our community. Please click the link below to donate to the Terry Fox Foundation.

Next Tuesday is the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation. This is a non-instructional day, and we encourage our families to engage in community events right here in Devon. On Monday, students are invited to wear their shirts for Orange Shirt Day. Our classes will be extending their learning this day with various discussions, stories, and lessons to help them understand the importance of this day.

We understand that both of these days bring about a variety of meanings to our families and we are hopeful that they are filled with reflection, learning, and love!

Have a wonderful weekend!

Cross Country

Congratulations to our RBES Cross Country Team!

Our Raptors showed great effort and determination at their recent meet in Beaumont — we are so proud of them for running hard and doing their best! A big thank you to the parents who helped get our athletes there and cheered them on.

Their next race will be close to home on Thursday, October 2, at Voyageur Park in Devon. The race begins at 4:00 p.m., and we’d love to see families and friends come out to cheer for our team!

Terry Fox Walk

Terry Fox Walk - Thank You!

A big thank you to everyone who joined us on Friday to help Terry “Finish It”! We are so grateful to the Lion’s Club for providing a healthy snack for all of our students, to the parents and volunteers who walked alongside our classes, and to the Devon Xtreme team who helped keep everyone safe along the way.

If you’d like to support cancer research, donations can still be made directly through the RBES Terry Fox Fundraising Page

Club Moo

NEW - Club Moo!

Our Milk Program is Back! 🥛

We are excited to announce that our Club Moo Milk Program is back this year! Our Moo Crew—made up of our Grade 4 Leadership students—will be helping by fulfilling and delivering milk orders (starting in October) to each class (Kindergarten to Grade 4) at lunchtime each day.

Parents can purchase milk tickets through PowerSchool: 20 tickets (white or chocolate) for $20.

How to use your tickets:

  • Send them all at once – Cut the tickets apart and return them in a baggie or envelope. They will be kept in your child’s reading bag, and your child can decide when to use them.
  • Send them as needed – Place one ticket in your child’s reading bag on the days you’d like them to have milk.

Milk delivery will start in October, but tickets are available to purchase now on PowerSchool.
