And just like that it is DECEMBER! One of the expressions we commonly use in our world for students is the concept of a “lightning bolt” in the day. This is a visual and verbal communication tool that we use with our students when there is a change in the routine. Needless to say, we’ve had lots of lightning bolts this week! Whether it be having a guest teacher, following a skating schedule, readjusting a recess plan, or practicing for our Winter Concert the students have done a really great job of “going with the flow”. When things might be veering off routine at home; feel free to use the good old “lightning bolt” expression – maybe your children will know it!

It is the time of year when we are preparing for our Winter Concert! Mr. Scott and Mrs. Gerard have been busy rehearsing with all the students. The students are sounding so good! The concert details are below and if you happen to know that your child might not be in attendance for the concert please communicate with your child’s classroom teacher.

Let’s have a great December! We look forward to seeing you all in the weeks ahead!

School Council & Fundraising

The Robina Baker Parent Fundraising and Volunteer Group got the BEST news this morning!

Thanks to our lead at Drake Insurance Agency – Devon, we were able to secure a TWENTY THOUSAND DOLLAR donation from Peace Hills Insurance!

With this donation comes a huge sigh of relief for us. With the deposit already paid on our new playground, we’ve been busting to make sure we have some wiggle room for the build, plus fundraising for the small things we support around the school.

This takes a huge amount of pressure off of us, and still allows us to help with small budgets around the school.

We are so grateful!

Please give us a follow on Facebook to keep up to date on our events
