The Black Gold School Division is a proud supporter of Tom’s Walk, a Memorial Walk and Fundraiser for Mental Health on May 26, 2024, in Devon.
Tom was a student who attended a Black Gold School in Devon who had a passion for music. He also had the ability to look past the outward appearance and see the person inside. Yet, in the shadows lurked the illness that would eventually take his life.
The annual memorial walk follows a parallel route to his last journey. It is a journey of hope, a time of reflection and a chance to raise awareness of the importance of our mental health and wellbeing.
