About Our Program

Our Kindergarten programs build on what your child has already learned at home and in your community. Our programs allow children to explore and experiment with their surroundings and to learn how to interact with other children. Our Kindergarten programs offer many benefits including:

* Further developed skills in language arts, math, social studies, science, and the arts.

* Improved personal and social skills.

* Enhanced physical skills.

When is my child eligible to attend Kindergarten?

Children may begin Kindergarten in a school within the Black Gold School Division in September if they are at least 4 years 8 months old as of August 31 of the respective school year.

** If your child is 3 or 4 years of age and struggles with following directions, communication, separation anxiety, temper tantrums, changes in schedule, or other developmental milestones? Consider having a screening and find out if your child can qualify for Pre-kindergarten. For more information, contact Early Childhood Services Coordinator Rebecca Aiken at [email protected].

When will my child attend?

Currently, Robina Baker offers full-day Kindergarten. When you register, you will rank your preferences of:

Monday/ Wednesday (with scheduled Fridays)

Tuesday/ Thursday classes (with scheduled Fridays)

Monday – Friday Mornings

Monday – Friday Afternoons

All of the classes will have the same amount of class time.

We encourage families to register early to avoid disappointment with their preferred choice. Please note, that we may not be able to accommodate your preference, depending on student enrolment and program viability.

What is Kindercare?
