Principal s CornerGood Afternoon Robina Families,

The weather has left our school surrounded by ice! Please exercise great caution around the school. Our contractors and custodians are doing all they can to get to icy areas, but sometimes the weather does not cooperate, the timing isn’t right, or it’s hidden under a skiff of snow. Please note that you are always welcome to access the school from the front door should it just be too icy at another location. This includes Happy Kids childcare if necessary. Our front office opens in the morning around 7:45 and closes at 3:45.

We culminated the week with a whole school assembly. On most Fridays, Mr. Scott hosts small grade-level assemblies so the teachers can participate in Professional Learning Communities (PLCs). However, this week, we decided to give our staff an opportunity for reflection and just a little bit of a breather and focus on their wellness. As such, we brought all of our students together to review the “Inside Out” Zones of Regulation strategies that we use daily in the school. We watched a small clip highlighting some of the emotions and discussed with students the association between the characters and our emotions.

Next week we will have an EIPK/Kinder/Happy Kids open house. Did you know that we are already at 41 registrations for Kindergarten? We’d love to have as many students as we can experiencing all the great things at RBES.

Have a safe weekend!

Mr. Coffin
