Admin Corner

It was a wonderful week at school this week! We had a school board visit our school on Wednesday to showcase everything that is great at Robina Baker. We absolutely discovered that puddle season is entirely upon us. The snow melt always brings an abundance of curiosity (and bravery) to our students as they explore the puddles outside. We welcome this exploration but also help our students to explore with caution as we know that getting wet is sometimes inevitable. I know for myself; that we are sending extra sets of pants to school as my own children will undoubtedly take a tumble in a puddle!

We concluded the week with a staff vs. students floor hockey game against the girls! The boys will play against the staff next week as they are off to their tournament this weekend. We want to extend a huge thank you to Ms. Culp, Mrs. Tewitz, and Mrs. Forchuk who have given up countless hours from their own schedules to coach floor hockey this year!

A heartfelt and genuine thank you to those of you who provided me with some feedback two weeks ago in my Principal Survey. The survey closes this week. Your words and comments meant the world to me and have affirmed that we are on a good path here at RBES!

Wishing you a wonderful weekend,
Mr. Coffin

  • If you have any questions regarding your child’s account, please don’t hesitate to contact me. Please don’t be concerned if you get an overdue email, especially when your child missed their library period due to a PD day or being sick. It is just a reminder.
  • PreK students –  Please return the red bookmark with the book.  It helps us put the books into the correct bags.  Thanks!
  • Grade 1 students now may take out 2 books.
  • Grade 4 may now take out 3 books.
  • The only classes taking out 1 book are the Kindergartens.
  • Leduc Recreation Pass – Don’t forget about the Leduc Recreation Pass which can be checked out for a week.
  • Amazon Wishlist – I have created an Amazon Wishlist for the library. You can check it out here:  Amazon Wishlist.  If you would like to buy one of these books for the library, please don’t forget to have Amazon send us a gift note with your name on it.  I like to acknowledge the person who purchased the book.  Thanks!

Please help us plan for next year by letting us know if your child will not be returning to Robina Baker next year.  If your Grade 4 student will be going to Riverview Middle School, you do not have to let us know.
