ASSEMBLY UPDATE
This month our theme is COOPERATION and TEAM WORK. It is perfect timing with our school teams getting started and lots of new games out on the playground. Thank you to our AWESOME co-hosts Gracie & Cruz from 4C. We were having so much fun together, we missed getting a picture of them! We also enjoyed a fun Kahoot team work and although it was a close contest, 3A won our Rad Raptor trophy to display in their classroom for a week! Congratulations!

FLOOR HOCKEY AT RBES
CONGRATULATIONS GRADE 4 BOYS!!
Congratulations to our Grade 4 Boys Floor Hockey team who placed 3rd in Division 2 of the Viking Cup Tournament at Caledonia Park School in Leduc this weekend. The plays worked hard as a team and had lots of fun. A big THANK YOU goes out to our coaches Mrs. J. Culp and Mrs. Hafso for all of their extra time and dedication. The Grade 4 teaching team was also a wonderful support and helped with some of the practices and it was truly appreciated. Yay Raptors!! GRADE 4 GIRLS FLOOR HOCKEY
Our Grade 4 Girls are gearing up to play in a Floor Hockey tournament in the upcoming weeks. Tryouts are complete and they are working hard to practice and improve their skills.
The girls team had a small skills camp a couple of Saturdays ago. We were also able to include some self esteem and positive self image teaching as part of the time. It was all so wonderful! We would like to send out a big THANK YOU to Mrs. J. Culp for hosting the camp and all the Grade 4 staff, including our student teachers, who came out to support such a great day for the girls. SCHOOL COUNCIL & FUNDRAISING UPDATE
FROM THE RBES FUNDRAISING COMMITTEE:
Remember to save the date for our First Annual Carnival. Our committee has been hard at work to create a fun family event!
This event is open to all community members. Let’s support RBES in their efforts to build a new playground for both their school and our community.
A Little Playgound Fundraising History for those new to our school:
The dream to build a new playground began about 6 years ago. Our playground fundraising efforts were severely impacted by the pandemic and it is time to get back on track. This past fall we were fortunate to have a casino and that gave our fundraising efforts a good boost. We have currently raised just over $81,000. Our original goal was to raise just under $400,000 to pay for the playground that our team worked together to design. With a little more revenue, we can start to apply for some matching grants that will bring us closer to our goal and in making this dream a reality. Thank you in advance for your support!
