Words really can’t express the joy that lived at Robina Baker Elementary School this past week. There were so many moments to be joyful about! First of all, our Grade 4 Leadership Students were featured on CBC Radio sharing their Cup of Kindness project. The students then worked through many rehearsals for their Winter Concert. The sounds filled the hallways each day and brought smiles to the faces of all our staff and visitors in the school. On Wednesday evening we welcomed our PK and Kinder families. The PK students filled the music room in their PJs and sang songs away! The PK team then had cookies for decorating! The Kinder students “wowed” the crowd with their voices and actions! Way to go! On Thursday, we had two performances of “Holiday Lights”. Though the gym was busting at the seams in the evening, the warmth and joy in the room illuminated such a wonderful community spirit. Finally, on Friday our Cup of Caring students continued to fill cups ready for deliveries and our Grade 2/3 class went for a kindness walk in the community delivering care packages to our local first responders and businesses! A special thank you to everyone who donated to the Food Bank drive as well!
There are great things happening at Robina Baker! Next, there are a series of activities throughout the week. See the graphics below for details, or on our Calendar and here. Thanks to the Grade 4 Leadership Team who came up with the ideas for the activities

CBC Featuring RBES Leadership Team
CBC Radio Edmonton heard what great work was happening at Robina Baker! Mrs. Kaluza and her Student Leadership Team are proud recipients of United Way’s Make Your Mark Grant! The students decided that they wanted to make Cups of Caring to give to people in Devon who could use warm wishes and socks in a cup. Their mission is to connect with vulnerable members of our community and the people who care for them. Specifically, they thought of seniors, community helpers, and volunteers.
