UPDATED SAFETY PROTOCOLS
All parents should have received an email update from Black Gold this past week with the updated safety protocols. If you missed the email or didn’t get it, you can read a copy of it HERE. The Black Gold plan has been updated to reflect these changes and you can read it on their website or by clicking on this LINK.
Students do not need to wear masks beginning tomorrow (Feb 14) at school or on the bus. It is now a personal choice decision. As a reminder, the DAILY CHECKLIST and isolation requirements are still in place. You can access the current checklist HERE. If you have any questions, please let us know.
WINTER WALK WINNER
Last week we submitted photos to the Winter Walk Photo contest for the Town of Devon. We are thrilled to announce this photo was chosen and will be featured. We will be awarded a $50 prize that we will raffle off at one of our assemblies.
HOT LUNCH
You have until February 13 to order hot lunch for February and March!
VALENTINE’S DAY
Our school will be having a Red, Pink, and/or White themed dress up day. We will also be doing Jump Rope for Heart on February 14.
A quick note for Valentine’s Day:
Due to Covid-19 safety protocols, please DO NOT send treats or Valentine’s cards to school with your children. Similar to last year, students will have an opportunity to create messages to give to their classmates during school time as we will be focusing on Kindness activities throughout the month of February.
COOKING UP A STORY
Register Before February 18!
We are so excited to invite you to a FAMILY EVENT this month! We have partnered with the Mental Health Capacity Building (MHCB) team to co-host a fun family event called: Cooking Up a Story. Families will be provided with all the ingredients to prepare a special meal together. We will use Zoom to bring everyone together and guide you through the recipe. As you work together to prepare your meal, you can connect with other families, hear a few stories, and share in some great laughs. We look forward to some community connection and a yummy meal!
Please note that the food package will be sent home with the oldest child in the family on the 23rd. We ask that each family goes onto PowerSchool and adds a $5 fee to participate in the event. Your fee goes toward the purchase of the groceries that will be sent home and MHCB and RBES will cost-share the remainder.
All families are welcome and we look forward to some community connection, storytime, and a yummy meal!
