ASSEMBLY UPDATE
Our last assembly of the year was all about CELEBRATING our students. We were lucky enough to have our grade 3/4 choir sing for us as well and Ms. Whipple led them in a song called: We Can Make a Difference. We presented awards to students who were away for our awards evening. We also handed out the Floor Hockey Passionate Player Award to one individual from both the boys and girls teams. Finally, we handed out our track awards. Congratulations to all of our Award winners!

CELEBRATION OF LEARNING
What a wonderful evening it was! Thank you to all who attended our First Annual Celebration of Learning evening. There were so many students to celebrate and we are so very proud of them all. CLASS LIST CREATION PROCESS
If you are moving and your child won’t be at RBES next year, please let the office know as soon as possible. This will help us to have accurate numbers for planning for the fall. Thank you!
INDIGENOUS PEOPLES DAY
Students had an opportunity to visit multiple stations in the school. Their experiences included: Indigenous games, art and connection to the land, music and dancing, as well as stories. You can see some pictures from this special day by clicking on the link below:
STAFFING UPDATE
As each year winds down we celebrate the successes of the current year, while preparations are being made for the following year. As part of getting ready for the next school year, decisions have to be made regarding programming and staffing. Unfortunately, at RBES our student enrollment has been on a decline for the third year in a row. This means some of our staff will be moving on and persuing other adventures.
Not all of our staffing is finalized, however, here is what we know for now and we shall announce any other changes in the fall:
Ms. Whipple will be moving on to Thorsby Elementary School. Mrs. Hafso and Mrs. Sweetnam will both be moving on to Bellevue School in Beaumont. Mrs. Sweetnam might be better known as Ms. Coleman and she was teaching Distance Learning for the last two years. Our staff will greatly miss these teachers and we wish them nothing but the best in their new endeavours.
Mrs. Stanski is currently on leave and hopes to return in the future.
Mrs. Marazzo is moving and we wish her and her family all the best. We also had a number of temporary staff whose contracts have expired. Some are moving on to other things and some may be recalled next year. We would like to thank Mrs. Jeffrey, Mrs. Pelkey, Ms. B. Suter, Mrs. Waters, Mrs. Russell, and Mrs. J. Culp for everything they did for our school this year. They each contributed greatly to student success at RBES and we truly appreciate each one of them.

Kinder Care & Before/After School Care
We will have more information to send out very soon about a proposed new opportunity for RBES! Stay tuned for more information.
PEROGY & SAUSAGE SALE
Orders will be arriving on June 28 at 3:00 pm. If you ordered, please make arrangements to do a pick up! We will confirm pick up location if it changes, however, look for a truck parked closest to the old school building to the East of RBES. The truck will be parked just past our bus zone out front.
Pre-K and KINDER REGISTRATION
Don’t forget to REGISTER as we are currently doing our fall planning and this helps us plan our staffing more accurately. Registration is all done online through the Black Gold website and PowerSchool . . . Sound too tricky?? Give us a call at 780-987-3705 and we will happily walk you through the process!
