As we close another memorable school year, I want to extend my heartfelt gratitude to each of you for your unwavering support and partnership. This year, our guiding pillars—taking care of you, letting learning guide you, communication is key, and trust—have steered our decisions and created an enriching environment for our students.
Taking Care of You: Our first priority has always been the well-being of our students, families, and staff. Your cooperation and commitment to everything from our safety protocols to our wellness initiatives have ensured that our school remains a nurturing and supportive space for all. Together, we have fostered a community where every individual feels valued and cared for. As you head into the summer months, our hope is that you all take some time for connection and recharge the batteries for the next school year.
Let Learning Guide You: Throughout the year, we have witnessed incredible academic growth and curiosity. Our dedicated teachers and support staff, along with your encouragement at home, have inspired our students to explore, question, and embrace the joy of learning. From classroom activities to extracurricular achievements, your children have thrived, creating a foundation for lifelong and visible learning.
Communication is Key: Open and transparent communication has been vital in building a strong partnership between home and school. Thank you for actively participating in parent-teacher conferences, school events, and for your prompt responses to our communications. Your engagement has ensured that we work together seamlessly, addressing concerns and celebrating successes as a united community.
Trust: Trust is the cornerstone of our community. Your confidence in our school’s vision and your trust in our decisions have empowered us to create a safe and dynamic learning environment. This mutual trust has enabled us to navigate challenges with resilience and emerge stronger together.
As we reflect on this past year, we celebrate the core memories we’ve created together—memories that will stay with our students for years to come. From park openings to wellness days, from free swims to toast programs, each moment has been a testament to the strength of our community and the boundless potential of our students.
Finally, I wish a very fond farewell and good luck to all our Grade 4 students as they head over the Riverview Middle School. It is a wonderful school and we know our students will be successful there. To our Grade 4s and any family moving from our community this summer, please come back to visit – you are ALWAYS welcome here!
Thank you to our greater community for your shared success in our children. It is through our collective efforts that we continue to nurture and inspire the leaders of tomorrow.
Below you will find information about our upcoming school year. The offices will remain open until Friday afternoon. The offices will reopen again on August 21st, 2024. Until then, you can expect that our staff will be exercising the “Taking Care of You” pillar very well and recharging their batteries for the fall.
