There are many deadlines this week related to swimming. Please note: all students in Grade 1-4 will need two sets of permission forms. One is for lessons and one is for the Free Swim. These are all due by the end of the day on Friday, May 26.
IMPORTANT DATES:
As noted in an update email on May 22:
May 23 – Free Swim permission form will be posted to PowerSchool by the end of the day for all students PK – Grade 4. (Due to PowerSchool maintenance, we were unable to upload the form prior to the weekend).
May 23 – Countdown To Carnival 50/50 Raffle Kick Off – there will be a QR code and a link sent out to purchase tickets. This is to support our playground!
May 24 – Candy Bag Sale ($2.00 / bag) to support Camp Warwa – please send a toonie with your child if you are interested.
SWIMMING:
May 25 – PK students need their swimming permission form done by 3:00 pm.
May 26 – Permission Forms and fees are due for Grade 1-4 Swimming Lessons (posted in PowerSchool). Email was sent out last week. Link to information letter is HERE.
May 26 – Permission Forms for the FREE SWIM for K – 4 is also due.
May 26 – Optional PK Free Swim at the pool – 10:00 – 12:00 pm (parent or guardian must attend and be present in the pool)
May 26 – YEARBOOK ORDER DEADLINE!
May 26 – Tom’s Walk – Our students will be utilizing the same route we have used for the Terry Fox Run in the past few years. Parents are welcome to join us. We are utilizing our walking field trip form for this event.

CLASS LIST GUIDELINES:
We will soon be making our class lists for the 2023-24 School Year. You can read about the guidelines that are used for creating these lists below. Please note: we do not accept teacher requests. If you have a unique circumstance that we need to be aware of before placing your child for next year, please contact Mrs. Kloschinsky.
PRE-K & KINDER REGISTRATION
REMINDER to register your children for Kindergarten or Pre-K as soon as possible if you have not had the chance to do so. This allows us to create accurate class lists for the fall.
Children may begin Kindergarten in a school within the Black Gold School Division in September if they are at least 4 years 8 months old as of August 31 of the respective school year.

REPORTING AN ABSENCE
With a focus on student safety, we appreciate you taking the time to let us know when your child will not be at school. To make it easier, we have this quick form you can use, or call the office and leave a message at 780-987-3705.
