Have a wonderful fall break and we look forward to seeing everyone back on Monday, November 14!
REMEMBRANCE DAY
Although our medical absences required us to go to a virtual format for our ceremony, our teachers did wonderful art, activities, shared videos and links from our program, read stories, and as a whole school we observed a minute of silence. Our student portions of the Remembrance Day ceremony were recorded throughout the day and are now compiled for you to view. The students did an amazing job and we are so proud of them all. You can click on all the different links in the PROGRAM to see each individual component.
There is also a compiled video of just the student portion that you can view below. May we all take time to remember the fallen and cherish what their sacrifice means for each of us today.
SKATING STARTS NOVEMBER 21
On or about November 21-24 and January 24-27, our K-4 classes will be skating at the Dale Fisher Arena. If we need to change the date due to inclement weather we will let you know as soon as possible. Each grade will have a half-hour time slot on the ice in which they will be participating in learn-to-skate activities and games which are appropriate for their ability level. Permission forms are available on PowerSchool and must be completed by 3:00 pm on November 20. More information is available here.
HOT LUNCH PROGRAM
Our hot lunch program has started! Check your PowerSchool accounts to place an order. We have more information on our Hot Lunch page. The November order form will be up soon!
Would you like to be a Hot Lunch Volunteer?
We are looking for a couple of Hot Lunch volunteers to help sort orders on our Hot Lunch days. Please fill out our volunteer form if you are interested. We will be contacting those who have indicated interest in the next week.
RBES SPELL-A-THON
Students wrote their test this past week. It was a bit tricky with all the illnesses and absences. There were multiple chances to write the test and everyone persevered to do their best. A reminder that all pledge money is due back on November 15 and prizes will be handed out on November 18.
Please click on this link for more information and see the video below showing the slideshow what the students have watched. The excitement has definitely increased! Thank you again for your support!
