Lots of wonderful LEARNING to highlight this week:

    • The Grade 4’s attended uSchool all week at the University of Alberta. What an amazing opportunity for students to meet and LEARN from a variety of different professors from a variety of faculties at the University. Students engaged in everything from Print Making to Rock Climbing to Bugs to Nerves just to name a few. We loved hearing how excited they were every day upon return. Thank you to the University of Alberta for providing this experience to the students at no charge. A special thank you to Mrs. Forchuk and Mrs. Tewitz for their leadership and organization and to Mrs. Delbridge and Ms. Green and our student teachers for attending as well.
    • On Friday, we hosted our annual Remembrance Day ceremony. We were honoured with special guests who joined our colour party. It was a peaceful ceremony which allowed us for significant reflection. Thank you to Mr. Scott and Mrs. Kirton for their efforts organizing as well as our students and classes who presented or helped with greetings and technology. The entire school took part as the gym was coloured with beautiful art pieces.
    • Students learned that nutrition can come in many forms and is very easy to prepare! Thanks to our PowerFull Kids Grant, students enjoyed a small cup of hummus with pretzels and carrots today.

We will now pause for a week of rest, reflection and rejuvenation! Please note that after today our staff will be unavailable until we return on November 18th. Please also note that this is the FIRST day of skating. It is so important to get your skating permission forms completed and indicated if you can volunteer.

    Have a wonderful fall break!
