The doors have been open at RBES this week!
- We were thankful to see everyone at our Parent Teacher Interviews throughout the week. On Wednesday night, our MHCB team had the gymnasium open for family games and snacks. It was so great to see everyone taking part.
- Mrs. Joosse did a wonderful job with our Book Fair! Thank you to everyone who came to support this. As a result; we were able to put more books back in our library! More details next week.
- This year, on the last Friday of every month we have a whole school celebration assembly. Today we celebrated all our RAD RAPTORS as well as the Grade 4s shared some learning they are doing in the classroom.
- The Power Full Kids grant has allowed us some great learning opportunities. Today, Mr. Coffin & Mrs. Kirton went from class to class and showed students just how easy it is to make a fresh and healthy smoothie. Thank you to Mrs. Christian who works behind the scences getting things ordered and prepared!
- TONIGHT is our Halloween DANCE! Be sure to come on out. Family tickets are very reasonable and can be purchased online or at the door! Our School Council has done a great job organizing this!

School Picture Orders
The code for you to look at your proofs and to order is on the piece of paper that came home with your child on Picture Day.
We will let you know when Retake Day is as soon as it is booked.
November Hot Lunch
November Hot Lunch Orders will be accepted until Friday, October 25.
Please note that some Hot Lunch days are on a Monday.
Kindergarten parents, please check the Kinder Calendars to make sure your child is at school if Hot Lunch is on a Friday.
Library Corner
- Welcome back to the library! Students are allowed the following number of books:
- Grades K and 1 – 1 book
- Grades 2 and 3 – 2 books
- Grade 4 – 3 books
Please return the books a week later when it is your student’s library day.
- Overdue notices – Please do not be concerned if you receive an overdue notice. These are just reminders and you will not be charged any late fees. Please email me if you have any questions or concerns. [email protected]
- Students are still learning where to put returns and from time to time books inadvertently get on the shelf without being checked in. Please be patient as we work through this process, and again, if you would like me to look for a book you think you’ve returned, I am happy to do so!
- Scholastic Book Fair – A huge thanks to everyone for coming to the Book Fair and making it a tremendous success!! Numbers are not completely tallied yet, but it is looking like we made the goal of receiving 50% of our earnings in product. I would especially like to thank Lisa Duffin whose help was invaluable, and also Aimee Movold, Terri Delbridge and Kristine Goulding for assisting me!! I will put the final amount made in the next newsletter. Thanks again!!
