Happy Halloween!!

Halloween Friday at RBES was an exciting time! A number of our students decided to dress as their heroes, plus there were many traditional and super creative Halloween costumes. The staff, of course, all dressed up as nurses! Our students got to parade out in the hallway that was live streamed to each classroom. A huge shout out and THANK YOU to Mrs. Horrocks for pulling together a video for you all to see. Thank you to Mrs. Culp and Mrs. Hafso as well for supporting this Halloween Virtual Parade as it takes many hands to make something like this happen. We all played a part and it was so exciting to see “each other”. We would like to wish you all a safe and HAPPY HALLOWEEN! Enjoy the video and some featured photos below!

Celebrating Our Heroes

UPDATE: We collected 629 $5 Tim’s gift cards! RBES frontline parents should look in their child’s backpack for their card as it was sent home with your child. Mrs. Kloschinsky, Mrs. Horrocks, and Mrs. Culp made deliveries to the Devon and Royal Alex Hospitals as well as passing on cards to representatives from the Leduc and Misericordia Hospitals. Each hospital was so very excited by the kindness of our students and staff. You have all made a positive impact in someone’s day.

RBE Spell-A-Thon

During the Assembly, we kicked off our 8th Annual Spell-A-Thon! We showed the students all of the prizes that are available to be won! For every $10 in pledges that the student gets their name is put into a draw – and we have so many prizes!

Every year our community is so supportive of our Spell-A-Thon – from pledging students to supplying prizes. A HUGE THANK YOU to the Devon Home Hardware, Tim Hortons, Florida Pizza, Independent, Dominos, Marci’s, IGA and Dairy Queen for sponsoring our program.

Fundraising Committee needs a Vice President!

PLEASE HELP! We are currently looking for a Fundraising Committee Vice President. This person provides support to our President and volunteers for what they can for fundraisers. You would have a great support team around you, many of who have been a part of the group for a few years. The Committee currently provides funding for Mathletics, Student Agendas, and Classroom Budgets. As well, a committee within the committee is dedicated to raising funds for our new playground. The Playground Committee reports to the Fundraising Committee, however, separate fundraising initiatives are set aside specifically for the playground. THANK YOU Torrie Fisher for stepping up to be our President! It is greatly appreciated!

Fundraising Thank You!!

Last Sunday and Monday parents and staff worked two Casino’s in Camrose for the playground fund. Thank you to our volunteers for your time and dedication to this project. It has been a long road and with our continued efforts we will see this get built one day!! Hope everyone has a fun and safe Halloween!
