    Good Afternoon Robina Families,

There were two very special days this week that I’d like to acknowledge this week:

    1. Custodial Appreciation Day (October 2nd) – Mr. Alex and Ms. Elsa are our hardworking and dedicated custodial team. They work tirelessly to keep our school clean. It never ceases to amaze me every morning when I walk into the building to see how they can make it seem like it is the first day of school. Our heartfelt appreciation to both of them for doing all they can to ensure the school is safe and clean. Mr. Alex and Ms. Elsa ALWAYS go above their job duties. Mr. Alex quickly responds during the day if we need a “clean up on aisle 3” or something unforeseen happens. Ms. Elsa ALWAYS takes the time to check in with all of us in the building and on special event days when we are all working a little later or have humans in the building a little longer she always stays late to ensure things are top-notch. THANK YOU both for making a difference in our school community.
    2. World Teacher Day (October 5th) – The job of a teacher is and incredibly complex one! Our teachers constantly go above and beyond to ensure they are providing the most quality education for our students. Beyond their amazing planning abilities, they also constantly lean into their own learning to stay up to date with the latest research, have regular supervision, and extra meetings, coach extracurricular activities, plan school-wide events, and engage in the community – just to name a few. All of this while still balancing their personal lives! I’ve worked in many schools within Black Gold and I can tell you that our teachers are some of the hardest working bunch out there! We are lucky to have them all. Thank you teachers for always going above and beyond! Thank you to our School Council who brought coffee and donuts, for all of our staff!

What means more than anything in the world to our teachers is just a quick note saying how much you appreciate what they do! If you have a minute; please do reach out! It would make their day and weekend!

    Have a wonderful weekend!
