Admin Corner:
It’s hard to believe that the days of September keep passing by and we are already halfway through the first month of school. As the leaves begin to change colour, the feeling of “getting back into the groove” is certainly happening. Our students are becoming accustomed to the school routines again and have been doing a marvelous job following our “group plans”. You might hear some of this language coming from the school; this comes from the “We Thinkers!” series. Our Mental Health Capacity Building Team will visit our classrooms to review the common language we are all using at the school.
On the note of communication; I wanted to extend a heartfelt thank you to our parent community. Our teachers and office staff have received heartfelt notes from so many of you already this year. You need to know that these kind messages mean the world to our staff as they try very hard to do all they can to support your child’s learning. With that, I wanted to note that your administration is also very open to feedback. If you have any great ideas you might have seen in other buildings, from something you have read, or from chatting with your neighbours we are very open to hearing your suggestions and feedback on how we can continue to make Robina Baker the best place possible. Please never hesitate to pop in and chat; we will always be happy to see you.

The Division’s insurance provider provides Student Accident Insurance that can be purchased by parents/guardians for their child. It will cover student accidents that happen on school property, during school-
sponsored activities, playing in a park or at home. Plans are between $17/year to $33/year, depending on the coverage that the parent/guardian chooses.
