We had a wonderful week at school this week! Students, parents, and teachers participated in our Terry Fox Walk on Thursday. Special thank you to our Lion’s Club for their generous snack donation and everyone who donated to the Terry Fox Foundation.
Our School Council and Fundraising Society has been busy with work behind the scenes:
The Fundraising Society is taking on Hot Lunch this year. They have everything set up and ready to go. The October hot lunch orders are due Monday, September 25 at 6 p.m.
Bring your bottles to school next week! On Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday there will be a special trailer in our parking lot. The playground committee is in the final stretch for fundraising!
The School Council and Fundraising Committee will be meeting for the first time on Monday, October 2nd at 6:00 PM. We’d love to have you there!
Next Saturday is Truth and Reconciliation Day. As such, there will be no school on Friday. On Thursday, October 29th we are encouraging our students to wear Orange Shirts to school. One activity we are going to be completing this day is a heart garden. If any parents would to volunteer to help us with setting it up, please email us at the school.

Hot Lunch Orders Due on Monday
We are excited that the Parent Council is coordinating the Hot Lunch Program this year!
You will not be ordering through PowerSchool this year. You will be ordering on HotLunches.net. If you want to participate in Hot Lunch you can set up your account now!
Create an account using access code BGHL then enter your kids and select which classroom they’re in.
Wear A Smile on Tuesday!
On Monday afternoon, Mrs. Culp’s K2 class and Mrs. Porter’s PK2 class will have their pictures taken. On Tuesday, everyone else will have school photos taken.
Smart Photography will provide us the information next week on how you can order your child’s photos.
